exellent product - very good price for a 17" - turned up in just a couple of days and has worked perfectly - we have 4 toshibas in the family and all have worked really well.

This is an excellent laptop for anyone needing a fairly simple machine, and not planning to use it a lot while travelling. It's big, with a good screen and excellent keyboard. Windows 7 boots fast, and it and the machine perform well together.
The price was very competitive, and delivery to France very fast. A good buy.

We are in our sixties and score about three out of ten in computer literacy. Needed a replacement for our elderly desktop which was at death's door - decided a big laptop might be the way to go.....
This bit of kit has exceeded our wildest expectations and the transition has been like moving from a horse and cart to starship Enterprise. Still don't understand how Amazon/Toshiba can do it for this money. Even better, registration with Toshiba upgrades the 12 month warranty to "collect and return"....
The screen is just awesome. Photos and movies have an stunning new depth and vibrancy and we are re-discovering our photo albums. And I never thought BBC i-player could be this good on any PC.
Build quality is superb, everything feels solid and chunky, just right for desktop replacement but still viable to take away on holiday. Downsides - nothing apart from a slightly raspy sound quality.
Not having bought a computer for many years, I was shocked to find that Windows 7 Home Premium does not provide a PC - based email client. This was resolved by a free download of the excellent Mozilla Thunderbird.
So if you want a big laptop for small money grab one of these while they're going.....

This has been an entirely satisfactory user experience.
Having ordered the Toshiba Satellite L350-262 laptop on Monday evening, the shipment arrived on Saturday morning the same week, even without selecting 'express delivery'.
The Tosh was on the network, configured and up and running within the hour, and so far has performed flawlessly.
The layout and screen display is superb and although slightly underpowered given the Celeron 1.8.Gz processor has performed entirely satisfactory, probably helped by the pre-installed Win7 Home Edition.
For the average laptop user this is an excellent choice.
