Excellent service. First laptop was faulty and replacement arrived within days even before the return of the faulty machine.

This was just what I wanted -- easy set-up and working smoothly.
The fly in the ointment is the Vista OS, which has no real advantages over XP and which has made one of my two printers, like my scanner, nearly unusable. I have managed a kind of incomplete fix in either case, but only with a deal of trouble.
Why, oh why did Toshiba have to choose Vista over XP? I have docked one star for this reason only. I look forward hopefully to the free upgrade to Windows 7!

Great first time lap top, no trouble loading sw and up and running in no time, first dissapointment, thought I had got media card slot, this model does not have it, my fault. It has done everything I asked except allowing me to load XP at setup, instructions say you will be given the chance to choose Vista or XP, I was'nt. Dont like Vista.
The machine is great and value for money. My sons quite envious of the large screen.

This is the first Laptop that I have actusally owned and I think it was a good choice.
I use it mainly for surfing the internet and loading my digital camera photograghs.
If I have any criticism it is the power socket would have been better situated at the rear of the PC.
Excellent delivery, even arrived a day earlier than predicted.

The laptop is very easy to set up as it comes with Vista on the hard disk. I am going to install linux to spice it up even more. But I have to say that I am impressed with the physical build of this product. The screen is large and high quality. The keyboard is solid and feels very rich.
With 2GB of RAM and dual core processing, this laptop is great value for money. By installing a new linux OS though, I know that the performance will improve a lot.
I think that this is a very impressive and solid machine which could easily have sold for double the price. Unfortunately, I bought this before the newer model with in built web cam came out (but I dont really need a built in web cam at the moment)
BUY IT!
