handy little machine August 1, 2010 c0nn0r I bought this for working and dossing while on trains, planes and buses but now it has become the computer I work on most - even at the office, etc. Of course it's still only a netbook so has to be treated with patience (maybe a memory upgrade would help in this regard) and the sound from the speakers isn't great if you want to listen to music or watch a film without earphones - but really, how often do you do that with a netbook anyways?
Otherwise, the battery life is great (actually seems to be as advertised), the Bluetooth connectivity is handy and the cardreader at the front is a God-send for those of us used to battling with cables who never seem to remember to get back into the laptop bag after they're finished!
On the downside, I concur with the other posters re the dodgy wifi connection.
Samsung NT140 Notepad April 8, 2010 Volts (Northants) Excellent little note pad, perfect for doing work on the move, battery life around 7/8 hours depending on what you are using. Ideal for work or games whilst flying even in economy seating. Looks very cool as commented on by several clients of mine
Just remember it's a netbook April 6, 2010 Mr. A. Maughan (London, UK) This was mostly an impulse buy as I already had a laptop. The problem was that the laptop wasn't very good in the first place: an HP model with an advertised battery life of just one hour. Shame on me! Rather than invest in another laptop, however, my focus turned to something I could use for hours at a time, without having to worry about battery life.
After doing some due diligence on the Internet, the Samsung netbooks came highly recommended most of all. I was adamant that I got the white version of the N140, purely for aesthetics.
Admittedly I haven't used it much since I first got it, but I have to say that it's very impressive. Straight out of the box, and without charging the battery at all, it had about four hours of charge. I am concerned, however, that the nine-hour charge that the title of this product suggests, is an exaggeration: some sources say that the maximum is more like six hours.
By far the biggest adjustment one will have to make is with getting used to the keyboard: for one, the Home and End keys have been relegated to "function commands" (i.e. you have to hold down the function key and press the left or right arrow to use them). The return key is just a large rectangle, and the backspace key has shrunk considerably. If you type documents a lot, you will notice the frustration immediately.
Probably the best move Samsung has made - and one that hasn't been mentioned anywhere - is to include a basic Samsung-branded wallet for your netbook. It's light and does the job.
I have some more testing to do with the netbook, but at present I would recommend it. Just remember that it's a netbook, and it's designed for portability rather than replacing a PC.
Samsung 140 April 3, 2010 Jim 31416 (London) A good, light (1.25Kg) netbook, with plenty of battery life (about 10 hrs, and good keyboard. However, it has the usual small cursor keys .
Nice looking and worth for price March 17, 2010 E. Sipavicius (Uk) Nice white mini laptop.
Had no problems yet.
Good battery life or I have to say exelent.

You can't expect more then that.
