My Pi3560 arrived this morning and I've felt compelled to give it a very favourable review. Not least because, after searching for laptops in this price range for a while, I very nearly ordered one I'm sure would never have been anywhere near this good for the money. Fujitsu offer Vaio and Apple quality design and chic for a very proletarian price. It's a little like the laptop equivalent of the Scoda that outdoes the BMW.
First of all, it's a good looking thing. Rather bling. The keyboard is comfortable, the scroll wheel is smooth, it's fitted with a webcam, mic, goodish speakers, and the widescreen-screen utilises a very practical aspect ratio for Windows 7 and movie-watching. Granted the image quality isn't quite as good with a Vaio, despite a similar level of 'shininess', but the graphics card itself more than makes up for any small complaint there. Most laptops for this price feature Radeon 4570 512mb's at best. This one features a GeForce 240m 1gb (so that's FIVE gig of total system memory for you), that will rip through the likes of Elderscrolls Oblivion, and even handle Crysis quite comfortably. (You will need to buy a mouse). Basically, it gives the sort of performance you'd expect from a Playstation 3 through HDTV. Except on the bus or in a field.
Actually, one thing I'm alluding to there is that I haven't tried it on the move yet. I'd imagine the battery life will be fairly standard. One thing I would say is that you might as well get the 18" version (Pi3660) to the extent that this one isn't actually as portable as it might sound. It feels like something for moving around the house, rather than something for walking around town. For the time being I can definitely say it *feels* sturdy, and runs cool, not least because Intel's t6600 processors consume energy so efficiently.
